The surgical intervention takes 15 – 20 minutes and the patient returns to his/her daily life on the same day after the surgery. In mini gastric balloon surgery, food intake is prevented as the patient’s stomach volume is significantly reduced. Thus, the patient can lose weight much more comfortably. After gastric balloon surgery, the patient loses 6 – 8 kilograms. The balloon, which is placed in the patient’s stomach with a simple surgical method, stays in the patient’s stomach for 6 to 12 months and is then removed from the patient’s stomach in about 10 minutes.
